Hiking for the day

Well Spencer didn't have school today so we decided that for all our sanity we would go out hiking for the day. We just went to the trails right here in town by Palmer Park. We had a great time. The boys kept finding sticks to throw off the cliffs, which scared the tar out of me. I had a nice hand hold on each of them as they got close to the edge. Cooper had a blast in the backpack. He would grab the tree branches as we walked past and he giggled a lot at his crazy brothers the whole time. We hiked for over a hour and a half and never once did the boys fight or cry. It was very peaceful and fun.

Photobucket This is Spencer trying to catch a little lizard. Surprise, surprise. It was just a bit to fast for him though. I'm sure the next time we go that will be all we do.......look for lizards.

The Garden is Planted.

The boy's and I finally got the garden all planted today. Thanks to Dad for getting Auntie's tiller and getting my soil ready for the plant. So now with the seeds in the ground it is a hurry up and wait game. I will now have a barrage of questions like, "are they growing yet?", "how much longer until we have vegetables?" and of course "can I pick this one yet?". But it is all in the gardening experience with kids, and we wouldn't have it any other way!

Cooper was playing in Cameron's kitchen today and wanted me to put on the apron, so I did and then of course I had to add the hat. He thought he was the stuff walking around the house with that all on. What a cutie ba tootie!

Lemons

Cooper insisted on having the Lemon out of my water at dinner the other night. So he got his wish and I got a couple cute pictures. He continued to eat it until I had to take it away cause he was eating the rind.

Fun at Grandma Carol and Papa Rich's House

Well I have a been a bit of a slacker these last few days in getting my blog up dated. As the weather gets warmer I find myself not having much time here at the computer cause we are outside most of the day.

Here are a few pictures of the boys down in Pueblo. We went down there to help Tim's Mom and Step Dad get some work done in the yard at their house in town. They have been staying there to save money on gas. That driving back and forth to their Beulah home really adds up in gas $$. Spencer was a big help in removing the bushes but he got a little bored and wanted to go to the park right by the house.

Photobucket Spencer finally got brave and did the fire pole this time.

Cameron loves the Merry-go-round. Thank God no one took pictures of me trying to push it as fast as I could for him. The faster the better for him he thinks. I get sick just watching it go in circles.

PhotobucketThen Cooper just thought it was fun eating the grass. He was a pretty big fan of Spilo(the dog behind him). She is such a good dog for not being around kids that much, she just let him pull, climb and chase her all day long.

Then the boys found a couple of hat/helmets in the basement and put them on. They had a really fun day down there.

On the car ride home Spencer had his Ipod and rocked out to that while Cooper and Cameron crashed.

Snow Day?

It is May and we got to wake up to what else than SNOW! It was in the high 70's yesterday and then this today. I really don't think I will be able to put the snow stuff away until June sometime. It really has seemed like we start to settle into a nice warming trend and them wham-o, here comes the cold again.

So what am I to do with a couple of little boys that love to be outside lately? Well what else than to bring the outside in for the day. So we built a tent/fort out of blankets, chairs and the computer desk. Cameron played in there all morning and when Cooper woke up from his nap they were back in there playing again.

Photobucket I guess the snow was OK for just a day, just to see how much fun they were having inside today.
