Ready for our trip to San Diego

Cameron got Spencer a new snorkeling set(for his birthday) for our trip this summer and had to have one himself, not much use for them around here except for the bath tub and funny pictures.

Spencer's Family Party

Well we started the party at the park. We got some kite flying, baseball, Frisbee, and some playground time in before it got just too windy and chilly, so we loaded up and came back to our house for cake and gifts. We are so very thankful for all of our family. We are all SO loved and blessed with such great people in our lives .

Spencer told me to write this:

I had another great birthday with all of you. Thank you for all the presents and money. I think I have enough money to adopt my tortoise now. So as soon as Mom and Dad get the pen built we will go and get one. I am way excited to get it. I also want to get my basketball goal up so I can play here at home not just a school. I have already read my snake book Papa Bill gave me. I also love my Nerf gun the Grandma Carol and Grandpa Rich got me, it is so cool, except Mom yells at me for shooting it at things in the house. OK that is all I just wanted to thank you all for all my stuff, you all rock! Love, Spencer

Here are a couple pictures from the day....

Spencer's Party

So Spencer's birthday party went off without a hitch. He was so surprised to see the Reptile guy show up at our house with a truck load of different creatures. There were snakes, lizards, monitors and tortoises. All the kids had a chance to hold the monitor, and almost all of them held or at least touched it. They were a little less apprehensive to touch the shingle back lizards, and even less with the tortoises. I think they all had a great time. Cameron did so well, he loves the idea of reptiles but in real life he freaks around even a plastic one. He even touched them all, I think he wanted to do what the "big kids" were doing. All in all it was a great day that I collapsed at the end of.

The rest of the pictures are in a slide show cause there are just to many to post separately....

Reptiles Everywhere

Snake cake

Spencer wanted a reptile theme for his birthday party, so do you know how hard it is to find a place that does any cake design with reptiles......give up, VERY hard. So I had to do the next best thing and go online and see if it is something I could do myself. Well this is how it turned out, not to bad I must say.

The true test was if the birthday boy liked it.......looks like he does.

A couple more pictures....

Tanya emailed me a couple more pictures from the ranch. This was when we went out to check for new babies. The first picture is Spencer, Josie and Cameron in the back of the truck, but as the week went on we learned that it was actually the King, the Queen and the Knight (or so that is what they were calling themselves). One night we went out to eat at a Mexican restaurant, and they had the really colorful high backed chairs, well Spencer chose the chair at the head of the table and called himself the King. So then Josie sat next to him and called herself the Queen. That made Cameron mad so the made him their knight to kill the dragons. While we waited for our food they were still playing their little game and Josie told Spencer that "you know the King and Queen are suppose to kiss, right?" Well Spencer looked at her with disgust and she then said "why don't we just cut that part out then and never kiss, OK." Then all was happy in the kingdom again. I love kids innocence.

This is Tanya holding Cameron on the back of "Olive". She was so super sweet and loved having the kids petting her. I wish I would have gotten a picture of her calf "Oliver" he had the cutest face. This last picture was one of the new babies we saw.
