Oh what a night....

Last night Mike, Amy, Drew, Ryland, Mason and Ashlyn came over to BBQ and hang out. Like usual we had a great time! The kids all play SO good together, really very few if any type of fighting. We had to drag them in from outside cause thier little hand were turning so red cause it was cold out there. Once we got them in they all went down stairs to watch some TV. Well Herbie was on so that kept them all entertained, and when it was time for them to leave last night we went down stairs to get them and this is what we found......
Spencer is faking, cause he was really the only one still watching the movie. Mason is zonked next to him.

Drew is out, and the cutest one is Ryland, Ash, and Cameron, down for the count.

Talk about playing till you drop, it looks like that is exactly what they did. Just makes you smile doesn't it? Oh to be young again, when all you had to do is play until you just couldn't play anymore and just fall asleep where ever you want, and Mom and Dad would just carry you to bed. We love you Howard's! Thanks for the great night!

We're going on....

So today was Spencer's Pinewood Derby race for Cub scouts. I was really looking forward to showing the boys the importance of sportsmanship, and how to act if your car is not the one that wins. Well, to much suprise Spencer's car just kept winning, and winning, and winning, getting him into the finals heet. Well he then ended up taking second place over all.
So with his win it looks like we are now going to race in the district race in April. I was so proud of him! He had the best smile on his face the whole day. What makes me the happiest is knowing that he really did do just about everything on his car. We helped him cut it out and spray paint it, but he sanded, decorated and helped with the wheels, and look what all his hard work got him, what a great lesson he learned from this as well. He also got the certificate for the fastest looking car as well.

Oh then Cameron raced his car, but consistantly came in second place in each race. He was just happy to see his car go down the track. His is the yellow car in the first lane. I was proud of him for not getting to upset about not winning.

So all in all we had a very fun morning, and will get to do it all again in about 4 weeks.

Spencer's teacher called

Spencer's 1st grade teacher called today to let me know what a joy Spencer's has been in class lately. She said that he is very giving and very polite. (WOW so he is learning something, even though he doesn't always show it here at home) She also was very impressed with his reading improvement. They start the year out on a reading level "A" and work their way through the alphabet so Spencer has made it to a "J-K" level which is one of the highest in the class. She also said that he "just gets" math. Thank God he gets that from Tim, lord knows its not from me. So all in all I was very happy to hear such a nice report from her. Keep up the good work buddy!

New food tried...

Yesterday we tried Spinach for the first time and we loved it. I have really enjoyed making all of Cooper's food this time around. It kind of makes me sad that I didn't do it with Spencer and Cameron. I also like that I am able to taste it and it really tastes like what it is suppose to. There has not been one thing that I would not put on my own plate to eat, which is nice to know.

Future Blogger

I found someone trying surf the net.....
Cooper B-lines it to one of two places whenever we let him crawl where ever he wants to, 1. the dog's water dish(he loves to slap the water and then tip it over) and 2. the computer keyboard. But how can you get angry at a face like that. He has us wrapped around his little finger.

Who the.....

Ok who the H.E. double toothpicks left those brownies out on the counter for me to eat, and then who the heck left the whipped cream in the fridge when I already had a brownie in my hand and how could I go without putting some on my brownie? Then who the heck left the bag of marshmallows out on the counter after making the boys cups of hot chocolate, and I had to have a hand full before putting them away?

Oh yea it was me............ darn it no will power today!!!!! :(

More "Cameronisms"

So I have a couple more "Cameronisms"..........

We were at my Mom and Dad's house working on pinewood derby cars for Cub Scouts. Our Den had a few extra cars they gave to younger brother's a car to enter the open class race. So my Dad was helping him with his. So when he came in from the garage with his car to show me this is what he said....... " Mom, look Papa sandpapered my pinewub dirty car, and it is so smooth you can pet it."

The other day Cam and Cooper were in the bath tub playing around and I was folding laundry when Cameron said " hey Mom I can make my butt blow bubbles", he had farted.

Got to LOVE him!!!!

Happy Birthday Nana!!!

We wanted to wish our Nana a very Happy Birthday today. We hope she is having fun down in Arizona with Granny, Aunt Lynne and Aunt Karen. We look forward to celebrating with her when she gets back next week.
